About the Role
We are hiring Level 3 Vehicle Operators to support the operation and testing of autonomous vehicles.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of autonomous mobility and gain hands-on experience with advanced vehicle technology. As a Vehicle Operator, you will play an important role in maintaining safe vehicle operations, supporting testing activities, documenting vehicle performance, and ensuring vehicles are ready for daily operations.
We're looking for dependable, safety-focused team players who are comfortable driving for extended periods and working with technology. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset are essential for success in this position.
Compensation
Base Pay: $28.00/hour
Additional shift differential opportunities include:
Weekend shifts: Additional 5% per hour
Night shifts beginning at 1:00 PM or later: Additional 2% per hour
Weekend night shifts: Up to 7% additional pay per hour
Available Schedules
This is a full-time position with consistent schedules.
Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Night Shift: 3:45 PM – 12:15 AM
Available workweeks include:
Tuesday – Saturday
Sunday – Thursday
Candidates must be comfortable working one of the available schedules, including weekends as assigned.
Responsibilities
As a Level 3 Vehicle Operator, you will:
Safely operate vehicles for approximately 4–8 hours per day.
Maintain a strong focus on safety and follow established operating procedures.
Support autonomous vehicle testing and daily vehicle operations.
Perform basic software and technology-related operational tasks.
Complete daily vehicle readiness and preventative maintenance checks.
Assist with basic vehicle services, inspections, and minor maintenance tasks.
Ensure vehicles, equipment, and work areas remain clean and operationally ready.
Accurately document vehicle activity, observations, issues, and operational metrics.
Provide clear written and verbal feedback to technical and engineering teams.
Assist with vehicle and equipment logistics, including movement and storage.
Support testing missions in a variety of roles both inside and outside of vehicles.
Complete paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness and operations.
Troubleshoot basic technology or operational issues as needed.
Collaborate with multiple operational and technical teams.
Qualifications
Required:
Valid driver's license with an excellent driving history.
Ability and willingness to drive for extended periods, including approximately 6 hours in a vehicle during a typical workday.
Basic knowledge of vehicles and the ability to perform routine vehicle checks.
Comfortable using technology and learning new software and systems.
Basic troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Dependable, proactive, and resourceful approach to work.
Ability to follow detailed procedures and provide accurate documentation.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to meet applicable background and driving-record requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience.
Previous experience in automotive, transportation, fleet operations, technology, testing, logistics, or a related environment.
Military experience is a plus.
