Sarah’s Dessert Bar is hiring a dependable, organized cook to help run the cold-side prep and support breakfast/lunch service at our café inside a downtown San Diego federal building.

This is a great daytime food-service role: Monday–Friday, no late nights, weekends, or federal holidays.

What you’ll do-

Prepare and cut, and portion cold-side café items such as but not limited to salads, sandwiches, wraps, fruit, sides, grab-and-go items, and sauces.
Support breakfast and lunch hot service during a busy café rush.
Follow recipes, portion standards, food-safety practices, and presentation expectations.
Keep your station clean, stocked, labeled, and organized.
Help with receiving, rotating, and tracking food inventory
Work with the café team to keep orders moving accurately and on time
Assist with other kitchen prep as needed

What we’re looking for-

Prior prep-cook, line-cook, deli, café, or high-volume kitchen experience preferred
Comfortable working quickly while staying clean and organized.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with a small team.
Strong food-safety habits;
* ServSafe certification
Able to stand for the shift and lift up to 50 lbs

Schedule & pay-

*Daytime weekday schedule only* 8am-2pm ; no weekends or federal holidays
Part-time to start, with the opportunity to grow into a Monday–Friday full-time role
Pay based on experience starting $18.00 up to $20.00
