Full-Time | Weekends & Event Days Required
Los Willows Wedding Estate is seeking a dependable, energetic and highly observant Event Houseman / Venue Operations Attendant to help keep our wedding estate clean, stocked, organized and ready for weddings, tours and overnight guests.
This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in keeping a beautiful property looking its best.
We are looking for someone who notices what needs to be done and takes care of it without always having to be told.
EVENT SETUP & PROPERTY READINESS
• Set up ceremony chairs according to the event plan.
• Inspect chairs for cleanliness and proper placement before guests arrive.
• Assist with tables, chairs and other event setup as assigned.
• Walk all guest areas before weddings and tours.
• Pick up trash, leaves and debris throughout the property.
• Make sure ceremony areas, reception areas, walkways and guest areas are spotless.
• Empty and clean trash cans and install fresh liners.
• Make sure all water coolers and water stations are filled.
• Help ensure the venue is completely ready for the next event.
EVENT-DAY SUPPORT
• Fill ice bins before weddings.
• Move designated beer from the cooler to the kegerator as instructed.
• Make sure assigned beverage and service areas are stocked.
• Replenish ice, water and supplies as needed.
• Respond to operational needs that arise during weddings.
• Pick up forgotten or special items when requested on the day of an event.
• Run local errands when unexpected supplies are needed.
• Be willing to assist wherever necessary to keep the wedding running smoothly.
BRIDAL SALON & DRESSING AREAS
When the Bridal Salon is being used:
• Open and prepare the rooms before the wedding party arrives.
• Turn on lights and air conditioning.
• Make sure rooms are clean, comfortable and properly presented.
• Check refrigerators and guest areas for cleanliness.
• If a Mimosa Package has been ordered, place the designated items in the refrigerator before arrival.
• Make sure water and other ordered amenities are stocked.
• Report missing, damaged or malfunctioning items before guests arrive.
INVENTORY & SUPPLIES
An important part of this position is helping ensure that Los Willows never discovers on a wedding day that we are unexpectedly out of routine supplies.
• Regularly inventory dry goods and operating supplies.
• Maintain established minimum inventory levels.
• Provide an accurate list of items requiring reorder to the front desk/office for purchasing.
• Monitor supplies closely enough that orders can be placed before inventory becomes critically low.
• Receive supplies and put them away in their proper locations.
• Keep storage areas clean, organized and clearly labeled.
Maintain regular counts of:
• Linens
• Chargers
• Dinner plates and service pieces
• Silverware
• Glassware
• Dry goods
• Paper products
• Cleaning supplies
• Other frequently used event supplies
Immediately report unusual shortages, excessive breakage or missing inventory.
LAUNDRY & LINENS
• Gather and organize soiled linens following events.
• Prepare laundry for scheduled pickup.
• Maintain an accurate count of items being sent to the laundry service.
• Receive and check returned laundry.
• Verify returned quantities against what was sent.
• Inspect returned linens for obvious stains or damage.
• Properly organize and store clean linens.
• Maintain an accurate linen inventory.
• Notify management when inventory needs to be replaced or replenished.
WEDDING VEHICLES, SHUTTLES & DRIVING
Driving company vehicles is an essential responsibility of this position.
• Clean and prepare wedding vehicles, shuttles and golf carts.
• Make sure vehicles are clean and presentable before weddings.
• Ensure designated vehicles are fueled or charged and ready for use.
• Drive company vehicles to obtain fuel and supplies as directed.
• Run local errands and pick up wedding or operating supplies when needed.
• Pick up last-minute or special-order items on wedding days when necessary.
• Safely move company vehicles around the property as required.
• Inspect vehicles for obvious damage, cleanliness and operational concerns.
• Promptly report vehicle damage, maintenance or safety issues.
• Keep vehicle keys and related equipment organized.
Applicants must possess a current valid driver's license, have an acceptable driving record and be able to qualify to drive company vehicles under Los Willows' automobile insurance requirements.
The employee must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving status throughout employment when driving is required as part of the position.
TOURS
• Turn on designated venue lights before scheduled tours.
• Walk tour areas before prospective clients arrive.
• Make sure entrances, walkways and tour areas are clean and presentable.
• Open and close designated venue areas as instructed.
CLEANING & PEST CONTROL
This position requires flexibility. Although other employees may normally be assigned to certain cleaning duties, you must be willing to jump in wherever help is needed.
This may include:
• Cleaning the bar
• Cleaning and restocking restrooms
• Cleaning the office
• Cleaning dressing areas
• Emptying trash
• Sweeping or spot-cleaning guest areas
• Assisting with post-event cleanup
• Handling other cleaning needs when scheduled staff are unavailable
Regularly inspect guest areas for ants and other minor pest problems and address them using approved products and procedures. Report larger or recurring pest issues to management.

ERRANDS & GENERAL SUPPORT
• Run local company errands as needed.
• Pick up supplies and special event items.
• Obtain last-minute wedding items when necessary.
• Fuel company vehicles.
• Assist other departments when operational needs require it.
• Help with unexpected tasks that are necessary to prepare the property for guests.

• Able to qualify as an approved driver under the company's automobile insurance requirements
• In possession of reliable transportation to and from work
Experience with wedding venues, hotels, resorts, banquet operations, event setup, housekeeping, inventory, warehouse operations or property maintenance is helpful but not required for the right person.
THE STANDARD
At Los Willows, guests should arrive to a property that is clean, organized, stocked and completely ready for them.
That means:
• No trash on the grounds.
• No dirty ceremony chairs.
• No overflowing trash cans.
• No empty water coolers.
• No unprepared dressing rooms.
• No dirty or unfueled wedding vehicles.
• No missing ice or routine supplies.
• No discovering at the last minute that we are short on linens, plates, chargers, silverware or glassware.
• No returned laundry being put away without being counted.
The successful candidate takes pride in noticing these things before a guest or manager has to point them out.
This is a position for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes ownership of their work and is willing to jump in wherever needed to help Los Willows provide an exceptional experience for our guests.
