Running Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Vice President of Sales to lead revenue growth across our government-contracting, commercial, and strategic-partnership markets.
Running Logistics is a local, veteran-led government contracting company based in Tustin, California. We are a certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise and small business with more than 10 years of experience supporting government agencies, prime contractors, and commercial partners in California and Hawaii.

Position Overview
This is a hands-on player-coach position for an experienced sales leader who can develop strategy, build relationships, attend networking and trade events, support our existing sales team, and personally help close meaningful business.
The VP of Sales will work directly with company leadership and alongside our Director of Business Development, contract administration team, and virtual sales representative. Our team uses GoHighLevel CRM to manage leads, outbound calls, follow-up, pipeline activity, and sales conversions.
We are looking for someone who can bring leadership and structure to the sales process while remaining actively involved in developing relationships and closing business.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the company’s sales and revenue-growth strategy.
* Generate new commercial and government-contracting business.
* Build relationships with business owners, contractors, skilled trades professionals, prime contractors, government representatives, and procurement professionals.
* Identify referral, subcontracting, teaming, and strategic-partnership opportunities.
* Attend networking events, trade shows, conferences, industry days, vendor outreach sessions, and government matchmaking events.
* Conduct discovery meetings, presentations, negotiations, and executive-level sales conversations.
* Personally manage and close strategic or high-value opportunities.
* Work alongside the Director of Business Development to align sales, marketing, lead generation, and partnership efforts.
* Coach and support the virtual sales representative responsible for outbound calls, follow-up, CRM activity, and closing assigned prospects.
* Review pipeline activity, conversion rates, prospect objections, follow-ups, and sales performance.
* Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline visibility through GoHighLevel CRM.
* Establish sales targets, performance measurements, and accountability standards.
* Provide company leadership with regular sales forecasts and progress reports.
* Coordinate with contract administration and operations when new business is secured.
Preferred Background
We are especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Sales leadership and business development
* Government contracting or public-sector sales
* Construction, skilled trades, facilities, maintenance, logistics, staffing, or professional services
* Selling services directly to business owners and executive decision-makers
* Developing relationships with prime contractors and subcontractors
* Government procurement, supplier-diversity programs, or proposal strategy
* Strategic partnerships and referral networks
* Networking, trade shows, conferences, and industry events
* Leading or coaching sales representatives
* GoHighLevel or another CRM platform
Direct experience in every area is not required. We are looking for a versatile sales professional who can learn new markets, develop trusted relationships, recognize viable opportunities, and turn those opportunities into revenue.
Qualifications
* Approximately seven or more years of progressive sales, business-development, partnership, or revenue-growth experience
* Demonstrated ability to generate new business and close revenue opportunities
* Experience communicating and negotiating with business owners, executives, or senior decision-makers
* Strong networking, presentation, relationship-building, and closing skills
* Experience managing prospects and pipeline activity through a CRM
* Ability to lead strategically while remaining directly involved in sales
* Self-directed and comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial company
* Availability to attend local networking, trade, and procurement events
* Ability to travel locally and occasionally outside the area as needed
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Running Logistics is a veteran-led company, and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Military leadership, logistics, procurement, operations, or business-development experience will be considered a significant asset.
Spanish-English bilingual ability is a strong plus and may qualify for additional compensation or incentive consideration, depending on demonstrated business need and proficiency.
Existing relationships with contractors, trades business owners, government agencies, procurement professionals, prime contractors, or industry organizations are highly valued.
Compensation and Incentives
* Base salary of $80,000–$120,000 annually
* Base salary determined by experience, qualifications, demonstrated sales performance, and relevant relationships
* Target annual commission opportunity equal to approximately 50%–75% of base salary
* Potential total annual compensation of approximately $120,000–$210,000
* Performance incentives may be tied to individual sales production, team growth, major client acquisition, and strategic partnerships
* Approved business-development travel and networking-event expenses reimbursed according to company policy
Commission and incentive compensation must be earned through measurable performance. Final commission terms, performance targets, and payment conditions will be provided in writing and discussed with the selected candidate before employment begins.
