Preschool Director – Evergreen Montessori Academy
Evergreen Montessori Academy is seeking an experienced, caring, and dependable Preschool Director to join our leadership team.
We are a well-established early childhood education program committed to providing children with a warm, nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment. We believe the early years are some of the most important years of a child’s life, and we are looking for a director who truly understands the importance of high-quality early childhood education.
This position is ideal for someone who is experienced, honest, organized, approachable, and confident leading a preschool team. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with children, families, and teachers.
What We’re Looking For
Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
Minimum of 6 semester units in administration/supervision
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Preschool Director
Strong knowledge of California Community Care Licensing requirements
Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to supervise, support, and mentor teachers
Strong parent communication and problem-solving skills
Dependable, professional, honest, and trustworthy
Someone who genuinely enjoys being part of a school community
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the preschool
Lead, support, and supervise teaching staff
Maintain licensing compliance and required documentation
Ensure appropriate staffing and classroom ratios
Communicate with families and address parent concerns
Support enrollment and family relationships
Assist with hiring, scheduling, training, and staff performance
Maintain a safe, organized, welcoming school environment
Support curriculum quality and developmentally appropriate classroom practices
Work collaboratively with ownership and administration
