Description
The Marker San Francisco is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our hotel's Engineering department. This is a hands on leadership role where you will lead the team while remaining actively involved in the day to day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the property.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and develop the Engineering team
Oversee preventative maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems
Remain hands on with troubleshooting, repairs, and daily engineering needs
Manage vendors, contractors, service agreements, and project bids
Oversee the engineering budget, capital projects, and cost saving initiatives
Maintain the hotel's guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and overall physical condition
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, internal audits, and Crescent standards
Qualifications
4+ years of progressive hotel engineering or facilities experience
Previous Director of Engineering, Assistant Director, Chief Engineer, or similar leadership experience preferred
Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and hotel building systems
Experience leading teams and managing vendors and contractors
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Valid driver's license required
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Compensation & Benefits
$145,000 to $160,000 annual salary
