One-Cycle Control, Inc. (OCC) designs and manufactures high-performance, high-density, and high-reliability power electronics products for industrial, utility, energy storage, and defense applications. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Technician to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and workmanship throughout the manufacturing process.
The QC Technician will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electronic and mechanical assemblies, mechanical components, and finished products. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, understands electronic assemblies, and is committed to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
• Perform incoming inspection of electronic and mechanical components to verify compliance with specifications and purchase requirements.
• Patrol the assembly lines to correct the assembly process. Conduct in-process inspections of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), cable assemblies, and mechanical assemblies.
• Perform final quality inspections before shipment using approved inspection procedures.
• Verify workmanship in accordance with IPC standards and company quality requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), schematics, and work instructions.
• Inspect solder joints, conformal coating, staking, labeling, wiring, torque, and overall product workmanship.
• Use measuring and inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, multimeters, and other inspection tools.
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
• Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials and products.
• Assist in root-cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing to resolve quality issues.
• Verify implementation of engineering changes and quality improvements.
• Maintain organized inspection records and support ISO 9001 quality management requirements.
• Follow ESD procedures, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
• US citizenship or Green card
• Associate degree or technical training in Electronics, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards is highly desirable.
• Experience inspecting PCB assemblies and electronic products.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems is a plus.
• Proficient with common inspection and measurement equipment.
• Strong computer skills for documenting inspection results.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
• IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) certification.
• Experience with power electronics, power supplies, or industrial electronic equipment.
• Experience using ERP or manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and basic quality tools.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and patrol on the production floor for extended periods.
• Good visual acuity for detailed electronic inspection.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Manual dexterity to inspect and handle small electronic and mechanical components.
