We are seeking an experienced Contract Attorney or Senior Paralegal to join our team on a flexible, part-time independent-contractor basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a newer attorney looking to build experience or an experienced attorney seeking a flexible part-time practice.
What You'll Do:
The Essentials
· Draft and review estate planning documents
· Manage client files and case deadlines
· Meet with clients and assist with document execution
· Deliver and explain estate planning documents to clients
· Work directly with attorneys and clients to move matters efficiently toward completion
Secondary
· Make court appearances as needed
· Assist with probate and conservatorship matters throughout California
· Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings and other court documents
· Prepare and handle court filings
What We're Looking For
· California-licensed attorney or highly experienced paralegal
· Strong experience with estate planning documents
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational and case-management abilities
· Ability to work independently with limited supervision
· Professional, client-focused demeanor
· Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Local to Mission Viejo? That's a plus! Some in-office meetings and client appointments may be required, although remote work is available.
