Job Description: IT Administrator (Entry level, Bilingual English/Korean)
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and motivated IT Administrator to join our management team at our construction company in Texas. This is an entry-level position ideal for an early-career professional with approximately one year of experience who is eager to take ownership of IT operations. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for technical support, responsible for maintaining hardware (computers, multi-function printers, peripherals), software, networks, and servers. You will work closely with our team to ensure our IT infrastructure remains stable, secure, and efficient. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in IT who is ready to grow with our company and contribute to our operational success.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Network & Server Management: Monitor and maintain network infrastructure and servers to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
- Hardware & Software Lifecycle: Upgrade, install, and configure new hardware and software to meet evolving company objectives.
- Security & Access Control: Implement security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats; manage user account creation, lifecycle, and access control.
- System Diagnostics & Optimization: Perform diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Documentation & Data Management: Document IT processes, and execute reliable data backup and archiving strategies.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain data retrieval and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Feedback & Error Reporting: Design and implement efficient end-user feedback mechanisms and error-reporting systems.
- Team Support & Leadership: Supervise and mentor IT department employees while providing hands-on technical support for daily end-user issues (PCs, printers, software, etc.).
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with technological advancements, industry trends, and best practices in IT administration.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience in a similar IT administration or support role.
- Language Proficiency: Bilingual in English and Korean
- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, hardware, software, and related enterprise technologies.
- Security Knowledge: Solid understanding of best practices in IT administration and system security.
- Leadership & Management: Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues swiftly.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively support users across different departments.
- Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a strong plus.
