Summary: The ITNetworkEngineeris responsibleforconnecting PHC with its growing networkof clinics,as wellas administrative sites,remote(AWS)datacenters,local data centers,3rdparty vendorsand partnersto provideexcellentpatientcaretoallour patients.TheITNetworkEngineerdesigns,maintains,andensures our network is secure and reliable by adheringto organizational values and industry standards and works closely within the IT Systems Administration team.
AreasofResponsibility:
NetworkingEngineeringandProvisioning:
- Engage with Network vendors,reviewinvoices& contracts, recommend system improvements and processes, in-line with established business goals
- Designand install new/ rebuildexistingnetworkequipmentandconfigure switches,routers, wireless, WebEx calling, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
- Develop and maintain installationand configuration procedures
- Contributetoandmaintainnetworkstandards
- Researchinnovative,andwherepossibleautomatedapproachesfornetworkingtasks
- Identifyprocessesthatleverageourresourcesandprovideseconomiesofscale
- Management of existing networking devices such as switches, routers, circuits, wireless etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
- Supportvariousenterprisetechnologies(Microsoft Entra, AWS Cloud infrastructure, WebEx)
OperationsandSupport:
- Performdaily monitoring,verifyingtheintegrity andavailabilityofallnetworkinghardware,firewall, circuit availability as it relates to bandwidth and uptime
- Providetechnicalleadershipandexpertiseinescalationsandincidentresponse
- Provide Tier II/III/othersupportperrequestfromvarious constituencies as needed. Investigate and troubleshootissues
- Repair and recoverfromhardware or software failures.Coordinate andcommunicate withimpacted constituencies
- Oversees the development and evaluation of network performance criteria and measurement methods
- Maintain the PHC infrastructure andCloud Software solutions in consultation with support Vendors for Network related items
- Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans and assist with the annual test of such plans
Maintenance:
- Apply patches and upgrades on aregularbasis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.

- Study best practices and innovative technologies of the industry and make recommendations that would benefit PHC

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degreewitha technicalmajor,such as engineering or computer science or equivalent; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in System Administration or Networking
- Fourtosixyearssystemadministrationornetworkexperiencethatincludespatching, managing active directory, group policy, login scripts, troubleshooting & implementation.
- ExperienceandknowledgeofCiscoNetworking, SDWAN–CCNAcertificationpreferred
- Experiencewithdatabases,networks(LAN,WAN)andpatchmanagementpreferred
- Knowledge ofsystemsecurity including IDS, ACLs, VPN, NGFW,anddatabackup/recovery
- Knowledge of networking and security, including TCP/IP, SIP, VOIP, HTTP, SFTP, SSH, SSL, BGP, OSPF, OSI layermodel
- Experience with tools for packet capture analysis, network monitoring, network performance analysis & fault isolation
- Working knowledge and engineering experience in virtualization technologies.
- Strong product/technology/industry knowledge
LicensesandCertifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) orsimilarprofessionalcertification required
- AWSPractitioner or AzureCloud Associate preferred
- MicrosoftMCSE or Azure Network Engineer Associate certificationpreferred
