We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic, elementary teacher to join our team. Teaching credential a big plus. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. The teacher will be responsible for providing instruction to a small group of students students in various subjects, including math, ELA, Social Studies and Science.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities.
- Provide small group lessons to students in grades TK-3rd grade.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance the learning experience and track student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive understanding of student needs.
- Employ special education techniques and strategies to support students with unique needs.
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
- Conduct assessments to identify areas where students need extra support and develop plans to address these areas.
- Provide feedback to students and parents to help them understand their progress and set goals for future improvement.
Requirements
- Experience working with students of all ages and abilities.
- Experience in adult education or early childhood education.
- Proficiency in various subjects, including math, science, English, and social studies.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and adapt them to meet the needs of individual students.
- Familiarity with learning technology and a willingness to learn new tools.
- Experience in special education and the ability to apply special education techniques and strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with students who have special needs.
- Experience in tutoring and a strong understanding of tutoring best practices.
- Experience working in a classroom setting or a similar environment.
