Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable, high-energy Sales Associate to join our team . As the face of our shop, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, sharing product knowledge, driving sales, and maintaining a welcoming environment for our community . The ideal candidate thrives in a retail setting, enjoys working either independently or as part of a team, and has a genuine interest in the industry .
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, assess their needs, and recommend suitable products . You will educate customers on product features, promotions, and use upselling/cross-selling techniques to meet sales targets .
Cash Handling & POS: Accurately and efficiently process all sales transactions (cash and card) using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and maintain proper cash accountability .
ID Verification & Compliance: Strictly follow all federal, state, and local laws regarding the sale of tobacco and related products by checking valid identification (customers must be 21+) .
Store Maintenance & Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor at all times. This includes restocking shelves, creating displays, merchandising, and general housekeeping .
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, assist with receiving shipments, and communicate low-stock items to management .
Operations: Assist with opening and closing duties (if required), follow daily checklists, and communicate effectively with the management team .
Required Qualifications
Age: Must be at least 21 years of age or older .
Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed .
Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to the work location .
Skills: Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills . Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential .
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, frequently bend/stoop, and lift up to 25–30 pounds .
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but a Plus)
Previous retail, smoke shop, vape shop, or convenience store experience .
Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and opening/closing procedures .
Social Media experience is a plus.
