Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, guest‑focused Dinner Cruise Deckhand to support a 4‑hour evening cruise in Newport Harbor. This role ensures safe vessel operations, exceptional guest experience, and smooth coordination with the Captain and Charter Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Assistance — Welcome passengers, assist with boarding, answer questions, and provide general support throughout the cruise.
Docking & Line Handling — Manage lines during departure and arrival, follow Captain’s instructions, and maintain safe deck operations.
Safety Monitoring — Monitor passenger activity, and respond to onboard incidents.
Deck Maintenance — Keep decks clean, organized, and hazard‑free before, during, and after the cruise.
Event Support — Assist with table setup, assist with bussing dishes to the galley and bar glasses to the bar, coordinate with charter Coordinator.
Qualifications
Maritime Experience preferred but not required; training available.
Ability to lift 25+ lbs and work safely in dynamic marine environments.
Strong customer‑service mindset and professional communication skills.
Must be punctual, dependable, and comfortable working evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
First Aid and CPR preferred
Able to enroll in a DOT drug test consortium

Schedule & Compensation
7‑hour shift, typically 4:00 PM–11:00 PM With 4-hour cruising time 6:00pm-10:00pm (varies by cruise schedule).
Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
