Himalayan Ridge Engineering is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Structural Designer/Drafter with hands-on experience in REVIT(Structure) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing structural designs, creating accurate technical drawings, and collaborating and guiding the team to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop Revit-based structural models and drawings in accordance with project requirements and standards.
- Independently handle most drafting and modeling tasks with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate with structural engineers and other drafting team members to ensure design intent is correctly implemented.
- Create, review, and maintain Revit templates, families, and office drafting standards.
- Perform QA/QC checks on models and drawings prepared by engineers.
- Assist in resolving modeling conflicts, detailing issues, and constructability concerns.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Collaborate with the technical lead and team leader in task delegation and workload management.
- Actively participate in process improvement, efficiency enhancement, and BIM workflow optimization.
- Maintain strict adherence to company ethics, quality standards, and core values.
Minimum Qualification
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in structural drafting and modeling using Revit Structure.
- Strong exposure to US / international structural projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering concepts, including load paths, framing systems, and constructability.
- Proficient in Revit families creation and modification, worksets, views, filters, and templates.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM coordination workflows, drawing standards and QA/QC processes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordination with internal teams and clients.
- Expertise in preparing construction documents: plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and legends.
- Ability to develop accurate 3D structural models (concrete, steel, timber) from design inputs and markups.
- Fundamental knowledge of Building codes, including NBC, IBC, AISC, ASCE, and ACI.
