Position Summary
Qarbon Aerospace is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician II to provide exceptional onsite IT support for our Milledgeville, Georgia facility while serving as the primary IT resource for local end users and manufacturing operations.
In addition to delivering Tier II desktop support, this role will partner closely with the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Applications teams to support cybersecurity compliance initiatives, collect audit evidence, assist with endpoint security activities, and provide operational support for enterprise IT projects.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, building strong customer relationships, and working in a manufacturing environment where desktop support, operational technology (OT), and cybersecurity intersect. This position offers opportunities to expand technical knowledge in manufacturing systems, enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity compliance, and operational excellence while serving as the face of IT for the Milledgeville site.
Primary Responsibilities
End User Support (65%)
- Provide Tier II desktop support for Windows workstations, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Office
- Deploy new equipment and manage hardware lifecycle replacements
- Support conference room technology and collaboration tools
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service while owning issues through resolution
Operational Technology (OT) Support (20%)
- Assist with support of manufacturing floor technology including production workstations, scanners, label printers, industrial PCs, and shop floor systems
- Coordinate with Infrastructure and Engineering teams to troubleshoot connectivity and endpoint issues affecting manufacturing operations
- Support OT asset inventory and documentation
- Participate in OT hardware refreshes and deployments
- Learn OT networking fundamentals and industrial cybersecurity best practices
- Support manufacturing systems while adhering to change control and production requirements
Cybersecurity & Compliance Support (15%)
- Partner with the Cybersecurity Compliance & Governance team to support security and compliance initiatives
- Collect, organize, and maintain audit evidence for CMMC, NIST 800-171, and other cybersecurity compliance activities
- Assist with endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, and security configuration validation
- Support identity and access management activities
- Participate in phishing simulations and security awareness initiatives
- Assist with cybersecurity documentation, policy updates, and compliance tracking
- Support incident response and security investigations as needed
- Coordinate with Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, and Cybersecurity teams on security-related projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments
- Exposure to Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), or manufacturing systems
- Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals
- Microsoft Intune or MECM experience
- Active Directory / Entra ID administration
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, switching, wireless)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Defender or other endpoint security platforms
- Security+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications are a plus

They are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations, security initiatives, and regulatory compliance within a growing aerospace organization.
Experience and Other Requirements
- 3–5 years of desktop support experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting knowledge across Windows, macOS, and iOS
- Familiarity with enterprise IT tools (e.g., Active Directory, SCCM, remote desktop tools)
- Excellent customer service and incident resolution skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (per ITAR regulations)
