The Opportunity:
An SAP Basis Administratormanages the underlying technical infrastructure of SAP systems (installation, upgrades, patching, and configuration) to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Key tasks include database management, user administration, transport management (TMS), and troubleshooting, often supporting HANA, ECC, and NetWeaver environments 24/7.
Responsibilities:
System Administration:Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain WBSCM SAP NetWeaver ABAP/JAVA systems.
Performance Tuning:Monitor system performance, perform load balancing, and optimize database and application server resources.
Transport Management:Manage the Solution Manager ChaRM and transport management system (TMS) for moving changes between landscapes (Dev, QA, PRD).
Database Management:Perform backups, restores, and database monitoring, specifically with SAP HANA, anind SQL Server.
Troubleshooting:Act as the technical SME in resolving system errors, dumps, and connectivity issues (SAP GUI, network).
Qualifications:
Required:
Education:Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Experience:7 proven years of experience with SAP Basis administration, including SAP HANA, and SQL Server. Familiarity with Hana Cockpit, Hana Studio. Solution Manager Configuration (Charm, System monitoring, Document Management)
Operating Systems:Knowledge of Linux, Unix and Windows server environments. Including familiarity with AWS.
Soft Skills:Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment.
Desired:
Knowledge of SAP BTP services and landscape design, Understanding of SAP S/4HANA (Cloud or OnPremise), DevOps principles and API management. BOBJ configuration and administration.
