Position: Dishwasher
Location: Destiny Coast - La Jolla, California
Position Overview:
The Dishwasher is essential to our kitchen operations, maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards that allow our culinary team to execute our Mediterranean-meets-California coastal cuisine. This position requires a detail-oriented individual committed to cleanliness and organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
-Operate and maintain dish washing equipment
-Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
-Stock clean items in appropriate areas
-Maintain cleanliness of dish area and kitchen floors
-Assist with basic food prep as needed
-Support kitchen cleaning projects
-Handle waste disposal and recycling
-Maintain chemical inventory levels
Required Qualifications:
-Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required
-Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
-Food Handler's certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
-Reliable transportation
-Must be 18 years or older
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to stand for extended periods
-Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
-Tolerance for hot, wet working conditions
-Manual dexterity for handling dishes and equipment
-Ability to bend and reach frequently
Schedule:
-Full-time and part-time positions available
-Early morning and evening shifts available
-Weekend availability required
