Job: Material Handler
Schedule: A one-day event Sunday 7/26/26
About the Role:
As a Material Handler, you will help receive, transport, and deliver freight throughout the convention center. You’ll work alongside event teams to ensure exhibits receive their shipments safely and on time while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Candidates must have:
* Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs
* Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk throughout the entire shift
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse or convention environment
* Ability to operate pallet jacks, dollies, carts, and other basic material handling equipment (or willingness to learn)
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Comfortable working around forklifts, trucks, and warehouse equipment
* Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
* Ability to wear required PPE, including safety shoes, gloves, and high-visibility vest
The job includes but is not limited to:
* Receiving, loading, and delivering shipments throughout the convention center
* Placing freight in assigned exhibit booth locations
* Operating manual and electric pallet jacks, dollies, and carts
* Removing and returning empty containers during event setup and teardown
* Maintaining a clean and organized work area
* Following all safety procedures and attending required safety meetings
* Assisting with inventory tracking and shipment documentation
* Supporting warehouse operations as needed
Work Environment:
* Fast-paced warehouse and convention center environment
* Work around forklifts, trucks, machinery, and active loading areas
* Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and walking throughout the shift
* Indoor and outdoor work depending on assignment
Required Attire:
* Closed-toe safety shoes
* Long pants
* Required PPE provided or required based on assignment
