Company Description GGM Services is a specialty contractor and field service company based in Charlotte, NC, focused on the security and
access infrastructure that keeps commercial, industrial, and self-storage properties operating safely and efficiently. We design, install, maintain, and repair the full spectrum of physical security systems — access control, gate automation, sliding glass doors, automatic overhead doors, surveillance, fencing, and related civil and electrical work.
Role Description<
/strong>
The Director of Field Services is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC. This is a ground-up leadership position — one that begins in the field and grows into full operational ownership as the company scales.
For the first three to six months, the Director will work alongside GGM’s field technicians, performing hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of gate automation systems, access control hardware, automatic overhead doors, sliding glass doors, and surveillance equipment across self-storage, commercial, and industrial client sites. This is not a transitional phase — it is the foundation. Understanding the work, the clients, and the standards from the field level is what makes everything that follows possible.
As that foundation is established, the role expands to encompass full operational leadership: managing and developing the field team, owning scheduling and dispatch, coordinating project delivery, and driving quality and accountability across all service lines. The Director will manage subcontractor relationships, oversee resource allocation and cost controls, and implement the processes and workflows that allow GGM to grow without losing the service standards that define it. Client relationships — particularly escalations and key accounts across the self-storage, commercial, and industrial sectors — are a core part of the role at every stage.
This position reports directly to the founders and is a key hire in GGM’s next chapter. The right person will be as comfortable in a hard hat as they are in a planning conversation — and will be motivated by the opportunity to build something, not just manage it.
