Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue is urgently looking for foster homes for several rescue dogs who need temporary or long-term placement.
We provide supplies and support. You provide a safe, loving home and help give a rescue dog a break while we continue working on their forever placement.
Foster homes must be responsible, communicative, and able to follow our rescue’s safety instructions. Some dogs need to be the only pet in the home or need an experienced handler, so please read each dog’s needs carefully.
**Dogs needing foster placement:**
**Barnabus — 8/5/26 to 8/16/26**
Barnabus is a medium-sized male Cocker Spaniel/Terrier mix. He can be affectionate and treat-motivated, but he needs an experienced foster who will respect his boundaries. He is not the type of dog who wants constant hugs or cuddles. He has a history of resource guarding and sensitivity around handling/collar area, so he needs a calm, structured foster who can give him space and follow instructions. Best for an adult-only or very dog-savvy home.
**Bella — 7/25/26 to 7/27/26**
Bella is a sweet senior Boxer mix. She is gentle, affectionate, mellow, and likes to follow her person around. She does best with someone patient who understands senior dogs. She may have some vision/hearing loss and does best with shorter walks, a calm routine, and a comfortable place to rest. No cats.
**Bellmont — Long-term foster needed**
Bellmont is a small senior Miniature Poodle, around 10 years old. He is quiet, timid, curious, and still decompressing. He may not see/hear very well and does best with a gentle, patient foster who can help him feel safe. He is not fully leash trained and may do best with a secure home, easy potty access, and someone comfortable caring for a senior dog. He eats soft food and needs a foster who can keep us updated on his comfort and routine.
**Sabrina — 7/19/26 to 7/26/26**
Sabrina is a female Mastiff mix who is shy at first but very sweet once she trusts you. She does best with a calm, patient person, especially someone who understands timid dogs. She is better with women than men and needs slow introductions. She is not good with other dogs and should be the only dog in the home. She has ongoing allergy/medical care, so her foster must be comfortable following medication instructions.
**Macks — 7/27/26 to 8/6/26**
Macks is a loving, smart Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix. Once she trusts you, she is affectionate, cuddly, playful, and very attached to her person. She is not good with dogs or cats and must be the only pet. She can be anxious/flighty, so she needs a very secure home, careful leash handling, and an experienced foster who will not let her slip out. Best for adults or a home with older kids only.
**Moose — 7/30/26 to 8/4/26**
Moose is very sweet with people, affectionate, and loves his person. He has done well in the right foster home with structure and calm handling. He is dog-reactive and must be kept away from other dogs on walks. He needs a foster who is comfortable avoiding other dogs, using safe leash handling, and following instructions. Best as the only pet.
