JMC2 is seeking an experienced Structural General Manager to lead the overall performance and growth of our Structural Division. This individual will oversee business development, client relationships, project execution, team leadership, and operational performance while working closely with technical staff to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at a high level of quality.

Primary Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Relations
- Develop and maintain relationships with architects, contractors, developers, property managers, and referral partners.
- Generate new project opportunities and expand existing client relationships.
- Prepare and oversee proposals, fee estimates, and service agreements.
- Represent JMC2 at client meetings, networking events, and industry functions.
- Support marketing and business development initiatives.
Operations & Project Management
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Structural Division.
- Coordinate team workloads and project resources.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and profitability.
- Improve systems, workflows, and operational efficiency.
- Remove obstacles impacting successful project delivery.
- Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal staff.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to client expectations.
Leadership
- Directly supervise department staff.
- Drive accountability and operational excellence.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of responsiveness, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of experience in engineering, construction, architecture, consulting, or a related professional services environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
- Strong business development and client relationship skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid California driver's license.
Preferred
- Experience within a structural engineering or consulting firm.
- Experience preparing proposals and fee estimates.
- Familiarity with California permitting and construction processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
