We are looking for a creative, reliable, and detail-oriented Floral Designer to join our growing team!
Position Overview
This is a dynamic role perfect for a florist who loves a balance of artistry and customer connection. You won't just be behind the design bench; you will be the face and voice of our shop—guiding customers through the ordering process, processing fresh product, and bringing their floral visions to life.
Key Responsibilities
Floral Design: Create stunning everyday arrangements, custom bouquets, and holiday designs efficiently and beautifully.
Customer Service & Walk-ins: Warmly welcome walk-in customers, listen to their needs, and quickly assemble on-the-spot custom wrapped bouquets or arrangements.
Order Management: Answer phone calls with a friendly demeanor, take accurate orders, and input data seamlessly into our Point of Sale (POS) system.
Flower Processing: Properly prep, hydrate, and process incoming floral shipments to ensure maximum freshness and vase life.
Time Management: Work diligently to ensure all daily delivery and pickup orders are completed beautifully and in a timely manner.
Shop Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace (sweeping, cleaning buckets, tidying the design bench, and keeping the display cooler looking pristine).
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Previous professional floral design experience is highly preferred (ability to design both loose/whimsical and lush/compact styles).
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using or quickly learning computer-based POS systems for order entry.
Multitasker: Ability to gracefully pivot from designing a bouquet to answering a ringing phone or helping a walk-in customer.
Reliability: A diligent worker who takes pride in punctuality, efficiency, and cleanliness.
Local Vibe: A friendly, positive attitude that aligns with our welcoming community.
