We are seeking a responsible, dependable individual to live on-site and serve as a Property Attendant / Parking & Property Monitor for a commercial office building in Hillcrest.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, takes pride in maintaining a safe and professional environment, and wants to live on-site while earning additional income.
Compensation
A small studio is provided on-site
$20.00 per hour
Flexible schedule
Approximately 25-35 hours per week (may vary)
Primary Responsibilities
Provide a consistent on-site presence throughout the property.
Patrol the parking garage, stairwells, hallways, and common areas several times each day.
Help ensure unauthorized individuals do not enter or remain on the property.
Monitor for trespassing, loitering, vandalism, or potential squatting and promptly notify management and law enforcement when appropriate.
Help discourage unauthorized camping or sleeping in the parking garage, stairwells, and common areas by conducting regular patrols and reporting incidents.
Assist with parking by monitoring the parking garage, helping ensure only authorized vehicles are parked on-site, and monitoring tenant parking.
Serve as a visible presence for tenants and visitors to help create a safer environment.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, suspicious activity, and property damage.
Maintain communication with property management regarding daily property conditions.
Assist tenants when appropriate and direct emergency situations to the proper authorities.
Qualifications
Honest, dependable, and professional.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Comfortable walking the property multiple times throughout the day.
Able to remain calm and exercise good judgment.
Must pass a background check.
Reliable transportation preferred.
Experience in security, military, maintenance, parking enforcement, or law enforcement is a plus, but not required.
Important
This position requires good judgment and professionalism. The Property Attendant is expected to provide a visible on-site presence, help prevent unauthorized access, and monitor the property. When appropriate, they should politely ask unauthorized individuals, including trespassers or homeless individuals, to leave the property. If an individual refuses to leave, becomes confrontational, or the situation appears unsafe, the Property Attendant should immediately contact law enforcement and notify property management. The Property Attendant is not expected to physically remove or engage in any physical confrontation with anyone on the property.
