Shoreline Patrol is seeking an Onsite Security Guard to help maintain a safe, secure, and well-regulated environment for people and property in Los Angeles, CA.
Position Summary
The Onsite Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring assigned areas, deterring and reporting security incidents, and ensuring the facility operates with consistent safety practices. This role serves as a visible presence on-site, providing professional support while enforcing established security procedures.
In this part-time, onsite position, you will follow patrol and response protocols, document activities accurately, and communicate clearly with supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor assigned entrances, perimeter areas, and common spaces to deter unauthorized activity and protect people and property
Conduct regular patrols and inspections, ensuring areas remain secure and reporting any safety or security concerns
Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with established procedures, including de-escalation and timely escalation/reporting
Document observations, unusual occurrences, and incident details in required logs and reports
Maintain a professional presence and provide assistance to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel as needed
Required Qualifications
Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles, CA and maintain consistent availability for scheduled shifts
Strong observational skills and attention to detail with a focus on safety and security
Ability to follow written procedures and respond appropriately to changing situations
Clear communication skills, including the ability to provide accurate incident updates
Reliability and professionalism, with the ability to remain calm when addressing concerns or disruptive behavior
Preferred Qualifications
Prior security or public safety experience in an onsite environment
Experience writing clear, factual incident reports and maintaining accurate logs
Training or experience in de-escalation techniques and basic emergency response practices
Familiarity with access control and visitor management practices
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods while remaining alert

Compensation
Hourly rate: $18.00 - $20.00
