Seeking a full-time (Monday through Friday) physically active private caregiver for a busy and active female MS patient in her 60’s who currently uses a wheelchair. Candidates must have significant caregiving experience and be proficient at pivot transfers for taller individuals. State certification is strongly desired. Candidate must be friendly, personable, reliable, fluent in the English language, honest and reside NO MORE THAN 30 minutes from Laguna Niguel.
Duties include assisting with daily stretching/exercises; various activities of daily living; occasional light housekeeping; some meal preparation; and transporting to appointments and activities outside the home (vehicle is provided). Must have a verifiable, excellent driving record. Swimming proficiency—including lap swimming—is important as there are sessions at local community and aqua therapy pools 1-2x/week. There is also occasional 24-hour coverage needed and potential for international travel (passport required).
