OBJECTIVE: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for overseeing and administering all recruitment efforts. The position will develop and implement recruiting plans and strategies, striving to bring in the best people to fill our company needs. Maintains HR Values in all aspects of the job.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the employment process, including full cycle recruitment, screening, interviewing, selection and orientation.
- Support department managers with recruitment efforts; place advertisements for job openings; screen resumes and candidates; perform reference and/or background checks for prospective new hires.
- Conduct onboarding with new employees
- Conduct E-Verify
- Assist with ABC cards
- Order business cards
- Consult with managers and staff regarding employee performance improvement, corrective counseling and other human resources issues to ensure compliance with company policy and State/Federal law.
- Advises management of employee morale issues; makes recommendations to promote positive employee morale and addresses specific issues, problems and concerns that negatively impact morale.
- Handle termination paperwork, COBRA processing, and exit interviews.
- Assist with post-accident drug screening as needed
- Maintain all personnel records; file and organize personnel documents
- Maintain I-9’s, auto insurance and phone bills
- Manage work authorization documents and monitor expiration dates to ensure compliance; communicate renewal requirements where necessary.
- Work with employment agencies for the recruitment of temporary talent
- Update Company phone list and org charts
- Manage monthly headcount report and distribute accordingly
- Monthly reporting and updating recruitment spreadsheets
- Submit quarterly reporting, such as Multiple Worksite Report
- Maintain monthly associate birthday and work anniversary calendars.
- Manage unemployment claims by preparing and submitting fact-finding documentation.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Two to five years HR experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal, problem resolution, negotiation, and consulting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and HRIS applications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
- ExponentHR software knowledge preferred
- Multi-lingual is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
