Essential Job Functions
- Understands standard project management processes
- Participates in the design, management, and strategic planning for long-term department operations.
- Provides advisement to technical staff concerning priorities and initiatives within Public Safety.
- Provides for consultation with senior management concerning current and projected information management and automation services needs within Public Safety.
- Provides advisement to staff under charge concerning customer service requests, end user issues, technology applications, automation related policies and procedures, and internal staff issues.
- Participates in the review and recommendation concerning all aspects of the County’s information services needs.
- Develops and maintains effective external vendor relationships and vendor services contracts; provides advisement in construction of RFI/RFP’s and IS consultant contracts.
- Performs personnel management functions.
- Performs research involving independent judgment and initiative for the purpose of resolving or addressing operational matters applicable to Public Safety Support.
- Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments in the field of state-of-the-art information technologies and services for application to Public Safety functions.
- Will perform project management duties as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Technology, Computer Science or related field
- Seven years progressively knowledgeable and skilled experience in client services, three of which shall have been acquired in a supervisory capacity
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Grade: 60
Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week
