Position Overview:
An innovative energy company is seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing to build and lead its manufacturing organization as the company scales from product development into commercial production. This executive will develop the manufacturing strategy, operational infrastructure, and production capabilities required to bring advanced renewable energy technologies to market.
The Vice President of Manufacturing will oversee manufacturing operations, industrialization, process development, facility planning, and production scaling while ensuring world-class standards in safety, quality, cost, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's manufacturing strategy to support commercial growth and long-term production objectives.
- Build and lead manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and operations teams while establishing a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Lead the transition of new products from engineering into full-scale manufacturing, ensuring production readiness and efficient product launches.
- Establish scalable manufacturing processes, production systems, factory operations, and quality standards that support high-volume production.
- Drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, throughput, cost, and on-time delivery through Lean Manufacturing and operational best practices.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to optimize manufacturability, supplier performance, and product commercialization.
- Develop facility expansion plans, capital investments, automation strategies, and long-term manufacturing capacity to support future growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience within advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, industrial equipment, aerospace, or other highly engineered industries.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling manufacturing organizations in high-growth environments.
- Experience launching new products from development into commercial production.
- Strong background in manufacturing engineering, industrialization, Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in renewable energy, energy storage, power systems, advanced manufacturing, or industrial technology.
- Experience implementing manufacturing systems, ERP/MES platforms, automation, and quality management systems.
- Familiarity with highly regulated manufacturing environments, supplier development, and production scale-up.
