Position Title: Controller- Real Estate
Location: Moorestown, NJ (On-site position)
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Retail Sites, LLC, is a premier commercial real estate developer and owner of high-quality retail shopping centers and free-standing commercial assets offering tenant representation and brokerage services throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Founded in 2007, we focus on building tenant relationships that lead to brokerage, development, and ownership opportunities in which we handle all aspects of leasing, management and development.
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Controller to lead and improve our general accounting and financial reporting operations. This is a hands-on role that requires close attention to detail, efficiency, flexibility, and effective collaboration with leasing, development, and management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Yardi Voyager and excel with the ability to manage accounting, develop projections and leverage technology to improve our efficiency. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced small-team environment.
General Responsibilities and Duties:
· Manage all general ledger activity, review and reconcile financial data and complete the full month-end and year-end close processes for multiple commercial properties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
· Direct the annual tenant reconciliation process in coordination with Property Management.
· Perform financial analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, and special projects as needed.
· As a proficient user of Yardi Voyager, identify and implement underutilized features and automations to drive departmental efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
· Formalize and document our accounting policies and procedures
Requirements and Qualifications:
· 8+ years of progressive real estate accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
· Extensive hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager is required. Must have a deep understanding of Yardi’s accounting, financial reporting and property management modules.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA preferred.
· Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and industry-standard financial reporting.
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience in financial modeling.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
