Position Overview
Join a team that builds handcrafted furniture shipped all over the United States. Every piece is made in our El Cajon workshop using real wood and built by hand from start to finish.
This is a hands-on production role for someone who enjoys building furniture from start to finish and takes pride in quality craftsmanship.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Stable Monday–Friday schedule
No nights
No weekends (rare work on weekends)
Weekly pay

Hours: 40 hrs / Week
💵 Starting Pay: $19.25/hour
What You'll Do
Build, assemble, sand, stain, finish, and package custom wood furniture
Interpret production drawings and follow build specifications for custom pieces.
Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely
Maintain quality standards throughout production
Lift and move furniture and materials (average 80 lbs, occasionally 120 lbs)
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Assist with custom furniture builds and problem-solving during production
✅ Required Experience (We have an entry-level position also available- apply there if no experience)
Minimum 2 years of furniture-building experience from start to finish
Minimum 3 years of table saw experience
Experience using routers and router tables
Experience using orbital sanders and belt sanders
Experience with gluing, clamping, fastening, and furniture assembly
Experience using common woodworking hand tools & drills
Experience with wood finishing, including staining and applying polyurethane or other topcoats
Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble wood components
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of woodworking or furniture-building experience
Experience with large sanding equipment
Experience in a production woodworking environment
Cabinetmaking, finish carpentry, millwork, or related woodworking experience
⚠️ The Reality
This work is physical, fast-paced, and hands-on. There is sawdust, stain, splinters, noise, and heavy lifting involved. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in craftsmanship, and can maintain quality while working efficiently.
If your experience comes from cabinetmaking, finish carpentry, millwork, construction, boat building, set building, or another closely related trade, we encourage you to apply. We are happy to discuss how your skills may transfer into this role.
