We are a growing men’s fashion retail chain with over 70 stores across the Northeast, and we are looking for an Assistant Shoe Buyer to join our buying team.

This is a hands-on role for someone interested in retail, product, fashion, and the buying process. The Assistant Shoe Buyer will work closely with the buying team to support day-to-day operations, review sales performance, assist with vendor communication, and help identify product opportunities across our stores.

This position is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn the buying business and grow within the company.

Responsibilities

Review sales by store, style, color, size, and category
Help track best sellers, slow sellers, and product opportunities
Assist with purchase orders, vendor follow-ups, and order updates
Support replenishment, transfers, markdowns, and promotions
Help organize assortments for different stores, markets, and customer needs
Visit stores to better understand product presentation, customer demand, and selling trends
Communicate with vendors, store teams, and internal departments
Stay aware of footwear, fashion, pricing, and seasonal trends
Prepare reports to help the buying team make informed product decisions

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail
Comfortable working with Excel, reports, and sales numbers
Interest in fashion, footwear, retail, and product
Good communication and follow-up skills
Organized, reliable, and willing to learn
Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Retail, footwear, merchandising, or buying experience is a plus
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
