Venture Capital Associate, Tech Focus | Location: New York, NY
Job Summary:
A leading growth-stage investment firm with over $1 billion in assets under management is seeking an Associate to join its New York office. The firm focuses on partnering with high-growth enterprise software, SaaS, AI, cybersecurity, and cloud technology companies that are transforming industries and scaling efficiently.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved across the full investment lifecycle, including sourcing, evaluating, underwriting, and executing transactions. The Associate will work closely with senior investment professionals, founders, and management teams, while also contributing to portfolio company initiatives and broader value creation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support deal sourcing, screening, and evaluation efforts across technology sectors
* Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses
* Conduct industry, market, and company-specific due diligence
* Assist in transaction execution, including investment memos and committee materials
* Work with portfolio companies on strategic and operational initiatives
Qualifications:
* 3-4 years of experience in Investment Banking (preferably on a technology/software team), Growth Equity, Venture Capital, Private Equity, or Technology Investing
* Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
* Experience evaluating software, SaaS, AI, or broader technology businesses
* Thrives in a lean, close-knit, and collaborative team environment
* Genuine interest in enterprise software and technology investing
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in Investment Banking (on a tech/software team), Growth Equity, Venture Capital, Private Equity, or Technology Investing.
