The Production Worker is responsible for processing 20 lb. propane grill cylinders in the outdoor production area of the AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange facility. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork while performing physical labor in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Sort, inspect, clean, paint, label, and refill propane cylinders.
Ensure cylinders meet company quality standards before distribution.
Load filled cylinders onto trucks for next-day deliveries.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Work effectively as part of a production team to meet daily production goals.
Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Ability to follow established processes, procedures, and instructions.
Strong attention to safety and quality.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Ability to obtain required state licensing.
Ability to become forklift certified.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Education & Experience
Required:
0–3 years of work experience.
Preferred:
Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience.
High School Diploma or GED.
Work Environment
Primarily outdoor work environment.
Fast-paced production facility.
Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Safety-sensitive position requiring strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
