BARE STEEL INC. is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator to join our growing team. We specialize in Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Metals, and Ornamental Steel projects throughout Southern California.
We are looking for a motivated fabricator with strong layout, fitting, cutting, and welding skills who can work independently and produce quality work in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret structural steel drawings and shop drawings
• Layout, fit, and fabricate structural steel assemblies
• Fabricate beams, columns, stairs, landings, platforms, and miscellaneous metals
• Perform accurate measurements and material takeoffs
• Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• MIG, Flux-Core, and Stick welding
• Plasma cutting and Oxy-Acetylene cutting
• Grinding, finishing, and quality control
• Prepare materials and assemblies for installation
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
Required Experience:
• 3+ years structural steel fabrication experience
• Blueprint and shop drawing reading
• Layout and fit-up of structural steel components
• MIG and Flux-Core welding
• Plasma cutting experience
• Oxy-Acetylene torch cutting experience
• Experience working with wide flange beams, tube steel, channel, angle, and plate
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation

• Handrails and guardrails
• Roof ladders and pit ladders
• Structural platforms
• Forklift operation
• Rigging and material handling
