Job Summary:
The company is seeking a versatile and experienced Welder/Fabricator/Fence Installer. This position is a crucial part of operations, requiring fabrication expertise or willingness to learn and the ability to install completed fence projects on-site.
Responsibilities:
• Weld and fabricate custom metal fences, gates, and railings according to specifications and design plans.
• Install fabricated fences and gates at various job sites throughout South Orange County.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other project plans to accurately fabricate and install fence systems.
• Operate and maintain various welding equipment (e.g., MIG, TIG) and metal fabrication tools (e.g., grinders, drills, chop saws).
• Ensure quality and precision in all welding and fabrication tasks.
• Work effectively and safely with power tools.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth workflow and on-time project completion.
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times, including proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
• Some experience as a Welder/Fabricator, preferably with experience in ornamental iron or custom metalwork.
• Experience in fabricating and installing fencing and gates.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and technical documents.
• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding (Stick welding experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with standard welding tools and safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and work with heavy materials.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required for on-site installations).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
• Experience with other types of fencing (e.g., wood, vinyl).
• Experience leading a crew or working independently on installations.
