Position Overview
Guzman Energy is seeking a motivated, hands-on IT Administrator to support our day-to-day technology needs. This is a front-line role focused on getting employees set up, supported, and productive—covering user account provisioning, end-user hardware, and all in-office technology. It is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who proactively solves problems, anticipates what users need before they ask, and is eager to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities

- Set up, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot end-user hardware, including computers/laptops, monitors, printers, TVs/displays, and other peripherals
- Support and maintain audio/visual and conference room technology, ensuring video conferencing, displays, and meeting-room equipment work reliably
- Provide responsive, friendly first-line support to employees, resolving day-to-day technology issues and escalating more complex items to the IT Manager
- Track and maintain IT assets and inventory, including tagging, recordkeeping, and coordinating equipment for new hires and departures
- Proactively identify recurring issues and user pain points, and suggest or implement improvements before problems escalate
- Maintain clear documentation, how-to guides, and notes to help users help themselves and to support team knowledge sharing
- Anticipate user and meeting needs (e.g., room readiness, equipment, accounts) and prepare ahead of time
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a similar role (relevant internships, coursework, or certifications considered)
- Hands-on experience in setting up and troubleshooting end-user hardware—computers, printers, displays, and peripherals
- Familiarity with user account administration and provisioning concepts (e.g., Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Entra ID, or similar directory/identity tools)
- A strong aptitude for audio/visual and conference room technology
- Strong customer-service orientation and clear communication with non-technical colleagues
- Willingness to work in-office in Denver
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to back-end networking fundamentals (routing, switching, Wi-Fi, VPN)
- Familiarity with the energy space and energy markets
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, or endpoint/device management tools (e.g., Intune)
- Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft fundamentals
- A growth mindset: eager to learn, open to feedback, ethos of continuous improvement
- Experience in a small-company or fast-paced environment where you wore multiple hats
