John Christopher Construction, Inc. is a full-service General Contractor based in Orange County. We keep all key trades in-house — Framing, Electrical, Plumbing, and Finish Carpentry — which means consistent work, real coordination across trades, and room to grow. We're expanding and looking for a skilled Electrician to join our crew.
**Job Summary**
We're looking for an experienced Electrician with a background in residential remodeling and light commercial construction. The right candidate handles both rough-in and finish electrical, can work independently, and communicates well with other in-house trades.
**Responsibilities**
- Rough-in electrical for new construction, remodels, ADUs, and tenant improvements
- Install panels, circuits, outlets, switches, and fixtures
- Install recessed lighting, ceiling fans, exhaust fans, and under-cabinet lighting
- Run conduit and pull wire in residential and light commercial settings
- Install EV chargers, subpanels, and service upgrades
- Coordinate rough-in timing with framing and plumbing teams
- Read and interpret electrical plans and load calculations
- Ensure all work meets NEC and local code requirements and passes inspections
- Maintain a clean, safe job site daily
- Report progress, delays, and change order needs to the Foreman or PM
** Required Qualifications**
- 3+ years of electrical experience in residential remodeling or new construction
- Strong knowledge of NEC and California/Orange County electrical codes
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Experience with romex, conduit (EMT/rigid), and low-voltage systems-
- Must have reliable transportation (truck preferred) to job sites
- Must own core electrical tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 70+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas
- Must own a smartphone ($25/month phone reimbursement provided)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
- CA Journeyman Electrician License (C-10) — eligible for higher rate
- Experience with EV charger installation and service upgrades
- Light commercial TI experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

**Interview Schedule**
Interviews are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. First interviews are via Zoom; qualified candidates are invited for an in-person follow-up.
