Job Title: Onsite Yard Dog/Replenishment Driver - DAYS
Location: San Marcos - At this time, we are only considering local candidates who are legally authorized to work in the United States. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 6:00am to 2:30pm/finish, 40+ hours; Full Time
Pay: $23.00/hour
Ideal Candidate Criteria: Experienced in using a yard dog to move trailers.
Job Duties:
- Replacing bottle trailers from the processing plant
- Taking transfer trailers from lower cooler to upper cooler
- Managing trailer locations in the yard
- Ensure proper forms are available during unloading
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately
- Document trailer numbers, start/finish times, temperatures, product types, and code dates
- Store mixed pallets in appropriate locations
- Communicate with replenishment staff regarding trailer movement
- Bring trucks to upper dock for loading and rotate as needed
- Replenish products to meet demand
- Report issues as they arise
- Maintain a strong safety record
- Operate vehicles safely and inspect connections before movement
- Conduct trailer audits
- Refuel trailers as needed
- Assist with loading later routes when needed
- Complete daily trailer logs with product details and pallet counts
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred: Class A/B CDL license
Skills Needed:
Basic speaking, reading, and writing skills in English for paperwork and computer training purposes.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is constantly required to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, and stoop. Regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 75 pounds is required. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
