Vegan by El Zamorano in Costa Mesa, CA is looking for a cook/line cook to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who is attentive, outgoing, engaged, and responsible. \
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients including chopping, slicing, marinating and portioning
- Assist with cooking items and prep needed for daily service
- Set up and stock the line for opening
- Follow recipes and preps lists accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organizations of prep areas, line, and storage
- Properly label and date all food items
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with dishwashing or cleaning tasks
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Being a team player!
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-year previous kitchen or food prep experience
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a long period of time
- Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Weekend availability (Friday-Sunday)
