IT Support Specialist
Location: Onsite Greater Chicago Area
Our client is looking for a hands-on IT Support Specialist to support daily IT operations for a fast-paced, field-driven organization. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving technical issues, supporting end users, and improving IT processes in a collaborative environment.
You’ll play a key role in help desk support, endpoint management, onboarding/offboarding, and overall service delivery while working closely with employees across multiple locations. This is a highly visible role with opportunities to contribute to operational improvements and technology initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide day-to-day IT support for end users across multiple locations
- Manage and resolve help desk tickets in a timely manner
- Support and maintain tools such as Google Workspace, Freshservice, Intune, and RMM platforms
- Assist with endpoint deployment, device setup, imaging, and lifecycle management
- Handle user onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning and access management
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and mobile device issues
- Support distributed and field-based employees with remote troubleshooting and technical assistance
- Maintain accurate documentation for IT processes, systems, and support procedures
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve service delivery
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance the overall user experience
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in IT support, help desk, or end-user support environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and user support
- Experience supporting Google Workspace environments is required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Freshservice, or remote monitoring/management tools preferred
- Experience supporting mid-sized organizations or distributed workforces is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- No prior management experience required
