The Director of IT will be a pivotal leader responsible for the strategic oversight and operational excellence of our technology infrastructure. This role requires a balance of hands-on management of outsourced partnerships, high-level cybersecurity governance, and forward-thinking leadership in emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic IT Leadership & Operations
- Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact and accountability for 3rd-party IT managed service providers (MSPs). Audit their performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure maximum uptime and support efficiency.
- Infrastructure Oversight: Manage the day-to-day health of network architecture, cloud environments, and hardware lifecycles across all corporate and remote locations.
- Budgeting & Procurement: Develop and manage the annual IT budget, ensuring cost-effective scaling of hardware and software licenses as the organization expands.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with overarching business goals, ensuring IT acts as a catalyst for growth rather than a bottleneck.
Cybersecurity Strategy & Compliance
- Security Roadmap: Design and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity framework to protect company data, intellectual property, and employee information.
- Risk Mitigation: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and oversee incident response planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity protocols.
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure the organization remains compliant with relevant data privacy laws and industry-specific regulations. Develop internal policies regarding data access, password management, and remote work security.
- Security Culture: Lead company-wide security awareness training to mitigate phishing and social engineering risks.
AI Integration & Digital Transformation (Preferred)
- AI Roadmap: Evaluate and champion the integration of Generative AI and automated workflows to improve departmental efficiencies (e.g., in Finance, Operations, or HR).
- Governance: Establish guidelines for the ethical and secure use of AI tools within the company.
- Feasibility Analysis: Identify high-impact use cases for AI and lead "pilot" programs to test the ROI of emerging tech solutions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership or directorial capacity.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or PMP certifications are highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of cloud ecosystems (Azure/AWS), MDM solutions, and modern cybersecurity stacks.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and a proven track record of managing external vendors.
