We are partnering with a growing publicly traded organization in South Florida that is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to join its executive leadership team.
The VP of HR will be responsible for leading and executing the organization’s overall human capital strategy while partnering closely with executive leadership to support business growth, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement initiatives. This role will oversee all aspects of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, compliance, organizational development, payroll coordination, workforce planning, and HR operations.
VP of Human Resources Responsibilities:
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership regarding organizational structure, workforce planning, succession planning, talent management, and employee development initiatives
• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with company goals, operational objectives, and long-term business growth
• Oversee all recruiting, onboarding, retention, and employee engagement initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent across the organization
• Lead compensation and benefits programs, including executive compensation, incentive programs, performance reviews, and market analysis to ensure competitiveness and internal equity
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws while maintaining and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook guidelines
• Manage employee relations matters including investigations, conflict resolution, corrective actions, performance management, and policy interpretation while fostering a positive and accountable workplace culture
• Partner with leadership on organizational change initiatives, workforce planning strategies, and overall business transformation efforts
• Oversee HR operations including payroll coordination, HRIS administration, personnel records management, reporting, and workforce analytics
• Analyze HR metrics, trends, and operational data to support strategic decision-making and improve overall organizational performance
• Partner with legal counsel and executive leadership on employment-related matters, compliance initiatives, risk management strategies, and audit support
• Design and oversee leadership development, training, and professional development programs that support employee growth and organizational effectiveness
• Lead, mentor, and develop HR team members while promoting operational excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the department
VP of Human Resources Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
• 12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including executive-level HR leadership experience
• Experience within a publicly traded company environment strongly preferred
• SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar HR certification preferred
• Experience with executive compensation, long-term incentive plans, and Board-level presentations preferred
• Strong understanding of compliance, internal controls, and HR operational best practices
