Description:
The sales engineer will work collaboratively to secure contracts for mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic products for Military and Aerospace customers. Equal emphasis will be placed on pre/post sale analysis of materials, drawings, specifications and change notices; as well as pricing and material cost analysis and post-sale delivery (project management).
Primary Job Tasks and Responsibilities
− Pre award:
o Achieve the total contract booking quota assigned
o Achieve expected quantity and $ value of quotes
o Review and accurate interpretation of drawings, parts lists and technical specifications
o Initial Sourcing of Materials needed to satisfy Solicitation requirements
o Creation of initial Bill of Materials to identify requirements and costs for manufacture/bid
o Collaborate with the President/CEO on the most appropriate pricing strategy for bid
− Post award:
o Achieve on-time delivery to contract due dates and New Business Revenue plan assigned
o Act as Project Manager to conduct Contract Reviews, define Tasks and collaborate with colleagues to ensure completion
o Ensure the accuracy of the RFQ database and CMMC compliant management of drawings and specifications
o Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure Sourcing of Materials needed to satisfy Solicitation requirements
o Root cause analysis of bid win/loss and late/on-time delivery to identify corrective action and continuous improvement
Education and Experience
− Proficient working with numbers, data and information (MIL spec experience is a plus)
− Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience required
− Familiar with manufacturing in a built-to-print company:
o electronics and electro/mechanical products. Reverse engineering a plus.
o CAD/CAM software, Acrobat, Excel, Word, internet based applications and data sources
o machine tools, CNC Vertical Mill programming/operating, and related equipment
o mechanics, hand tools, assembly of small precision components (soldering experience is a plus)
o material sourcing, third party processing of metals, electronics, glass and plastic components
− Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

Compensation:
- Salary based on relevant experience (range from $50K to $70K)
- Eligible for pay increase after Mid-Year or Annual performance review
- Eligible for annual Bonus (subject to overall corporate profitability and individual performance)
