Experienced Managers will train the Materials Coordinator to purchase unique mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic products for Military and Aerospace customers. The Materials Coordinator will develop multiple skill-sets and be cross-trained as an individual contributor and/or as a team. Emphasis will be placed on purchase of material, timely receipts and effective management of suppliers in accordance with required AS9100 standards for our aerospace and military customers.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities.
The Materials Coordinator will perform, but not be limited to, the following:
− Receive materials from suppliers to verify counts and paperwork. Coordinate with suppliers for discrepancies.
− Preparation and packaging for outside processing shipments
− Deliver and pick up material from local suppliers (when necessary). Mileage reimbursement per IRS guidelines.
− Purchase materials online to support engineering and production
− Purchase online materials to support buyers for hardware and adhesives
Education and Experience
− No previous experience in purchasing for manufacture/assembly is required
− Comfortable with manufacturing and assembly related processes and tasks
− Proficient in use of office software: Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
− No previous experience using SAGE 50 accounting software or equivalent is required

Compensation and Benefits:
- Beginning hourly pay of $20
- Eligible for pay increase after Mid-Year or Annual performance review
- Eligible for annual Bonus (subject to overall corporate profitability and individual performance)

Physical Requirements:
− Must have their own vehicle with liability and damage coverage
− Must be able to lift and move material (appx. 40-50 lbs.)
− Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and ability to adjust focus
− Workspaces are either an open expanse or shared office
