Overview
This position is accountable for managing the provision of pharmaceutical care, staff, and workflow processes for the pharmacy departments. A key role of this position is the managerial oversight to assure effective implementation of care and process changes that positively impact the pharmaceutical care provided to our patients. This role also includes but is not limited to department communications; department human resource management; general operations workflow coordination; coordination of orientation, training and staff development; and policy and procedure development and implementation. The activities of this individual must facilitate the integration of systematic change that positively impacts the provision of pharmaceutical care, quality, and customer services by the department in a fiscally sound manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum EducationBachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution or PharmD is required;Master’s Degree Preferred.
Minimum Work ExperienceAt least 5 years of hospital experience preferred.3 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
Required SkillsMust be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of Ohio.
Required SkillsComprehensive knowledge and use of Microsoft SuiteExposure and Experience with pharmacy automation systems (i.e. Pyxis, Omnicell etc)Communication and presentation skillsLeadership skills in project management, human resource management and financial management
