Controller - Retail Sales
We are currently searching for an energetic, fast learner and skillful controller for our fast growing chain of middle eastern market-style stores. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making. Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and present findings to management.
- Financial Policies and Controls: Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Finance Audits: Coordinate and oversee finance audits to ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Statutory Finance Compliances: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to financial reporting, including the preparation and submission of financial statements, and other regulatory filings.
- Taxations: Manage tax planning and compliance activities, including the preparation and submission of tax returns. Identify opportunities for tax optimization and risk mitigation strategies.
- Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments.
- Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budgeting activities.
- Administer debt financing and debt service payments.
- Interface with outside audit firms, banks, casualty/liability insurance company, credit card companies and collection agencies, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in relevant field (required)
- Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
- CPA license is preferred but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel is a must
- Strong technology skills and background using multiple systems SQL database architecture a plus.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Excellent collaboration, written and oral communication skills
- In addition to financial skills, the Controller must maintain a positive and professional approach to serving information and support needs of Company management.
Valid driver’s license is a plus!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
