Overview
The Director of Information Technology provides strategic leadership, vision, and governance for the organization’s technology ecosystem, with a focus on Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
This role is responsible for aligning technology strategy with organizational priorities, driving digital transformation, and ensuring a secure, scalable, and high-performing IT environment. The Director partners closely with senior leadership, external vendors, and internal stakeholders to enable innovation, operational efficiency, and mission impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the organization’s IT strategy aligned with business goals
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on technology opportunities and risks
- Oversee Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems performance and roadmap
- Drive system integrations across collaboration, CRM, finance, and other business platforms
- Lead cybersecurity, risk management, business continuity, and compliance efforts
- Oversee IT operations, service delivery, and managed service providers
- Manage technology vendors, contracts, budgets, and investments
- Develop and mentor IT staff while fostering a high-performing team culture
- Lead change management and user adoption for new technologies
- Deliver scalable solutions that improve efficiency, collaboration, and organizational impact

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred)
- 8–12+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership roles
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing IT strategy
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, and cloud-based environments
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and governance frameworks
- Experience managing vendors and MSP relationships
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (Dynamics, Salesforce, or similar)
- Microsoft certifications (MS-102, AZ-900, or security-related certifications)
Pay: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
