What You'll Do- Watch short film scenes and break them into structured visual beats
- Describe camera movement, framing choices, lens behavior, and shot composition
- Articulate pacing, blocking, and actor positioning in precise, structured language
- Communicate emotional tone and mood using purely visual cues - no dialogue references
- Identify key transitions, visual motifs, reveals, and moments of emphasis
- Flag and clarify ambiguous or unclear visual elements
- Follow standardized formatting templates for beat breakdowns and scene summaries
- Maintain consistency and accuracy across a high volume of scene descriptions
Who You AreMust-Have:- Background in film, directing, cinematography, editing, or formal film school training
- Strong ability to analyze and describe scenes in purely visual terms
- Excellent structured writing skills with an eye for precision and clarity
- Comfortable re-watching clips multiple times to capture accurate detail
- Reliable and self-directed - able to work independently on task-based assignments
Nice to Have:- Experience with script coverage, storyboarding, or pre-visualization workflows
- Familiarity with scene structure, three-act frameworks, or visual storytelling theory
- Background in film criticism, academia, or production
