The Lead Developer is a hands-on senior engineer who contributes to Salesforce design and development, collaborates with the customer’s enterprise architects on solution approach, and serves as the primary onshore point of contact for technical discussions. The role works closely with an offshore engineering team in India, providing technical guidance and design/code review rather than formal people or project management. Deep expertise in Salesforce development (Apex, Lightning Web Components) and integration patterns is required.
Key Responsibilities:

- Partner with customer and enterprise architects on solution approach and contribute to key technical decisions
- Serve as the primary onshore point of contact for technical discussions with customer stakeholders and work closely with the offshore engineering team in India on day-to-day delivery
- Provide technical guidance and perform design and code reviews for the offshore engineers
- Design and implement secure integration patterns between Salesforce and customer-provided Knowledge Bot and retrieval APIs using Named Credentials, OAuth, API gateways, and MuleSoft
- Evaluate and recommend Salesforce-based approaches for Knowledge Bot invocation, including embedded UI versus Agentforce-based patterns
- Align development with best practices, scalability, and security standards in a regulated financial-services environment
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; perform unit testing and participate in peer reviews
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing Salesforce implementations for performance and reliability
- Collaborate with customer enterprise architects, business analysts, admins, and QA to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Must Have Skills:
- 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning Web Components), including prior experience as a senior engineer guiding other developers on design and implementation
- Hands-on experience with Service Cloud, Knowledge, and Contact Center operations on the Salesforce platform; familiarity with Agentforce or equivalent Salesforce AI/bot invocation patterns
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limits
- Strong experience designing and implementing Salesforce integration patterns with external systems, including Named Credentials, OAuth, API gateways, and middleware such as MuleSoft
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Experience working in onshore/offshore hybrid delivery models and guiding offshore engineers on technical implementation
- Strong client-facing communication skills; comfortable running design sessions and technical reviews with enterprise architects and business stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Preferred Skills:
- Experience delivering Agentforce, Einstein Bots, or other Salesforce-native conversational/AI assistants
- Hands-on experience with MuleSoft or comparable enterprise integration platforms
- Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise knowledge bases and retrieval APIs, including RAG-style patterns
- Prior experience delivering Salesforce solutions in regulated financial services, wealth management, or insurance contexts
- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or System Architect
