Job Summary:
Hotel Effie, a luxury Autograph Collection hotel, is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This role is perfect for a creative and driven individual looking to elevate their career in a high-end, dynamic kitchen. As the Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation of dishes, and leading a team of culinary professionals. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Maintain high food quality standards, ensuring consistency in presentation and taste.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor food inventory, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste.
- Develop and test new recipes in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
- Uphold Hotel Effie’s commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a fine dining or luxury hotel setting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
